It is not true that German soldiers are fighting in Ukraine
Western countries, particularly Germany, are careful not to involve their own troops in the military aid they provide, because that could be the reason for them to be drawn into the war, and, with that, NATO as well. As the website of the German Ministry of Defense states, Germany supports Ukraine by providing arms and equipment from the reserves of the Bundeswehr, as well as support from industry supplies funded by a special program that allows people on the ground to take responsibility for their own safety. At the moment, as part of this program, Germany has transferred to Ukraine 20 Leopard 1A5 tanks and 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks

We analyze a Facebook post indicating Germany has sent troops to Ukraine, or rather, it is involved in the war in Ukraine. The post says:
They have learnt nothing from history. This time, West Berlin will not remain…
The post also shares a short video which points out that Business Insider has allegedly posted about German troops being present in Kyiv for months. However, we weren’t able to find anything of that sort published on the webpage of Business Insider.
We also tried searching on Google, to find an article by Business Insider about the presence of German troops in Kyiv, but the search there was unsuccessful as well.
The European military bodies of Germany and Poland confirmed at the end of February that they are not sending troops to Ukraine, after public speculation that some Western countries may be considering doing so as the war with Russia enters its third year.
The then-NATO chief also said the US-led military alliance has no plans to send troops to Ukraine, after other central European leaders confirmed they too would not send troops.
Reports that some countries may send troops to Ukraine emerged after French President Emmanuel Macron said sending Western ground troops should not be “ruled out” in the future, after the issue was discussed at the meeting of European leaders in Paris.
On that topic, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said the participants had agreed that there will be no ground troops, no soldiers on Ukrainian soil who are sent there by European states or NATO states. Scholz said there was also consensus “that soldiers operating in our countries also are not participating actively in the war themselves.”
Speculation and misinformation that Germany is sending troops to Ukraine has been going on for some time, a topic on which Truthmeter.mk already wrote.
It is a fact that Germany does not have its own troops on the Ukrainian front. This disinformation spreads from the kitchen of the Kremlin. It is a known fact that Western countries, particularly Germany, are careful not to involve their own troops in the military aid they provide, because that could be the reason for them to be drawn into the war, and, with that, NATO as well.

Information about German troops being present in Ukraine was also denied by the German Ministry of Defense in a statement to Deutsche Welle as early as September 24, 2023, rejecting reports by Russian media outlets that a German Leopard tank manned by the Bundeswehr was allegedly destroyed in the Ukrainian war zone.
There are no German tank crews in Ukraine, one of the official representatives of the German Ministry of Defense told Deutsche Welle.
In the same article, Deutsche Welle also recalls a text published on the 18th of September 2023, which stated an investigation by three independent Russian media outlets into the involvement of a PR company ANO Dialog, with the Russian government, with the purpose of managing information on the internet in favor of the Kremlin and the Ministry of Defense. The arrangement with the government amounted to 9 billion rubles, says the article that reported the research.
Considering all the above facts, we assess the post as untrue.
