It Is Not True That Healthy People Are Being Killed In Hospitals

According to the analysis of the Ministry of Health, the deceased from Covid-19 had several chronic diseases combined, thus they were not “healthy” as falsely claimed in this post. The medical notes, the history of the treatment of patients in the health system, have been followed for years in an electronic file. Each time the doctor writes down the patient’s ID number, the computer system can access their previous condition, comorbidities, and the reasons why they sought medical intervention in the past. Also, the hospitalization itself requires the patient to have an indication to be admitted to the hospital. You can not just go to the hospital for no reason and end up in a hospital bed. No healthy person can be hospitalized!

We are reviewing a Facebook post, in which accusations are made against health workers and employees of hospitals where a number of Covid-19 positive patients are treated. Although North Macedonia is not specifically mentioned in the post, the author of the post has often in the past accused and slandered the doctors in the country that they kill patients, not supporting their claims with any fact or material evidence.

This time, the post claims:

23 October 2021

Healthy people are being killed in the Covid-19 hospitals.

The first untruth is that patients are “being killed” and the second is that they are “healthy”. The latest analysis of the Ministry of Health for the period from 6 August to 21 October shows that mortality among the unvaccinated is drastically higher. During this period, 1,506 people with Covid-19 have died on the territory of the country. Of these, 1,246 patients or 83 percent of the deaths were not vaccinated, and only 260 or 17 percent received the vaccine.

.

According to the analysis, the deceased had several combined chronic diseases. The patients were vaccinated with all types of vaccines available to us, according to the information from the Ministry of Health.

The medical notes, the history of the treatment of patients in the health system, have been followed for years in an electronic file. Each time the doctor writes down the patient’s ID number, the computer system can access their previous condition, comorbidities, and the reasons why they sought medical intervention in the past. Family doctors, on the other hand, also keep records of their patients and administer therapy for chronic diseases. Based on these medical histories, the Ministry of Health concluded that the deceased patients did indeed have multiple chronic illnesses and were not “healthy,” as falsely claimed in the post we are reviewing.

Furthermore, the hospitalization itself requires the patient to have an indication for admission to hospital treatment. One cannot just go to the hospital for no reason and end up in a hospital bed. Specifically, for Covid-19 diagnosis, there are certain parameters that indicate hospitalization. For example, low saturation, another symptomatology that suggests that the patient needs hospitalization. No healthy person can be hospitalized!

Regarding the mortality of Covid-19 positive patients, there are certain statistics in some clinics in the country. For example, in the clinical center “Mother Teresa” in Skopje, out of 2,000 patients treated, 381 have passed away, and as many as one-fifth passed away on the first day of hospitalization. This was announced by the coordinator of all Covid-19 centers and director of the Pulmonology Clinic, Dr Dejan Dokikj, based on statistics from all internal clinics in the state hospital. Thus, for at least one-fifth of the patients who have passed away there, the reason was not that they were treated inappropriately, but the late arrival and late hospitalization.

Furthermore, patients are treated in hospitals either with a positive PCR test or with symptomatology indicating Covid-19. It is clear that those with a positive PCR test have a virus in the body (it is unpredictable how it will behave and what consequences it will cause to the patient). This is another argument that goes against the false claim that people who come to the hospital are “healthy”.

In the Covid-19 center in the CGH “8 September” in Skopje, on the other hand, since the beginning of the pandemic, 130 patients have been rescued by a respirator, which is a very complex procedure. Health authorities have repeatedly stated that Covid-19 is an unpredictable disease that affects both young people and adults, with an unpredictable course of symptoms. It is true that sometimes people without comorbidities die. Many medical professionals have set out their views regarding this fact.

Due to all of the above, we believe that it is not true that healthy people are being killed in hospitals.
