If someone thinks this is a fight for democracy, then s/he is incredibly naive. The protection of the interests of US investment funds and the attempts to change “the regime” in Russia, the richest country in the world with natural resources are the background, truth be told.

The post falsely claims that the collective West plunged Ukraine into a war whose aim was to change “the regime” in Russia and safeguard American investment funds. Such a claim has nothing in common with reality.
The idea that the USA and NATO instigate the crisis between Russia and Ukraine daily, originates in the Kremlin’s propaganda machinery.
It is not true that the EU and the US are to blame for the war between Russia and Ukraine. Namely, Russia in the early morning of 24 February invaded Ukraine, although it constantly denied that it would attack.
By air, land, and water, Russia carried out a devastating attack on Ukraine, a European democracy of 44 million people. For months, President Putin had been denying that he will attack his neighbor, but then terminated the peace agreement, sending forces over the border up to the north, east and south of Ukraine. For a long time, Russia has been opposing the intention of Ukraine to become a member state of both the EU and NATO. Towards the end of 2021, Russia began deploying a large number of troops on the Ukrainian borders, while constantly denying that it would attack. The ways Russia tried to justify its military aggression in Ukraine are multiple, but the facts say that Moscow is trying to implement its imperialistic ambitions in Ukraine, using its weaponry and brutal tactics, including civilian attacks. NATO is supporting Ukraine because Ukraine is entitled to self-defense, as enshrined in the United Nations Charter. NATO member states individually continue to provide military support for Ukraine, but that does not make the Western countries “inciters of the war” that was prepared and implemented by Russia.
The Kremlin has been spreading disinformation and propaganda, thereby pushing its agenda. The aim is to spread lies to justify the unprovoked, unjustified invasion of Ukraine.
Reset of the “Great Reset”
The post is disseminating another well-known conspiracy theory about the “Great Reset”, which has been covered by Truthmeter on many occasions. The “Great Reset” allegedly has been prepared by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and in the background there were many famous characters, such as Bill Gates, Anthony Fauci, and Klaus Schwab, and now, since the current war between Israel and Palestine has been in the focus, the Jews are also “connected” with the “Great Reset”. The purpose of this “reset”, according to the conspiracy theory followers, is full control over mankind.
This conspiracy theory started to circulate on social networks more frequently from the beginning of the pandemic. It was promulgated by a group of well-organized conspiracy theory followers linked to QAnon. On more than a few occasions, they have been quoting statements of Gates and Schwab out of context and framing them within their agenda for demonizing these persons. Quite often they are put into the context of the current global problems, for example, the COVID-19 pandemic which was a global problem, intending to blame these persons for making a profit out of the pandemic, and in one way or another, they caused the pandemic, which is nonsense.
The Great Reset is an initiative of the World Economic Forum stemming from the need for global stakeholders to cooperate and manage the direct ramifications of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative was launched by WEF to improve the situation in the world.
As specified on the WEF website, the crisis caused by COVID-19, as well as the political, economic, and social interruptions provoked by the same crisis, fundamentally changed the traditional context of decision-making.
The inconsistency, inadequacy and contradiction of many systems, from the health, financial, and energy to the educational, are more pronounced within the global context that affects our lives, livelihood and the planet. Leaders are on a historic crossroads in managing short-term pressures and face long-term uncertainties. The Great Reset initiative offers information for decision-makers who will determine the future of global relations, the direction of national economies, societal priorities, nature of business models and the management of global commodities.
Drawing from the vision and vast expertise of the leaders involved in WEF, the Great Reset Initiative has set a dimension to build new social contracts that glorify the dignity of every human being, states the website of WEF.
The video material available on the WEF website shows that the Great Reset is focused on a series of topics, including education, pandemic prevention, inequalities caused by COVID-19, etc.
These real goals of the Great Reset, however, were kidnapped by the conspiracy narratives according to which the global elites abused the Coronavirus to dismantle capitalism and enforce radical social change. All that is additionally spiced up with the lie that these people will be judged for crime against humanity and that international warrants have been issued for them.
Conspiracy theory related to BlackRock and the Jews
The post below shares a video of Robert Kennedy Junior talking about the CEO of the companies BlackRock and Vanguard, Larry Fink, stressing that they had everything and that they intend to buy every home in America until 2030. Since Fink is a Jew by origin, this is where the post is weaving its conspiracy theory further, claiming that BlackRock owns everything in the world and that the Jews control everything. These are popular conspiracy theories that have been circulating on social networks for a long period.
Firstly, Robert Kennedy Junior is famous for spreading conspiracy theories. He had spread lies and disinformation especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and about the vaccines against the Coronavirus. Truthmeter covered that, as well.
Regarding the companies BlackRock and Vanguard, they are the two largest investment companies in the US, but are not the only ones and they do not own everything in the world. The United States of America has a very large market of mutual funds. There are, literally, hundreds of different families of funds and thousands of individual funds available, and they are all vying for citizen’s investment dollars.
There are almost as many mutual funds as shares are traded on the stock exchange NYSE Arca and NASDAQ combined. In fact, as of February 2021, there are approximately 8,000 mutual funds in the United States, managing approximately US$ 21 trillion.
The three largest are BlackRock, Vanguard, and Charles Schwab.
The fact that BlackRock and the other investment companies invest in property is nothing new. For centuries, both people and companies have been investing in property so that they sell them later at higher prices and make a profit – or lease them for rent. For centuries now, banks have been providing mortgages for purchasing property and making a profit in the process.
Concerning the funds managed by BlackRock, those funds are not owned by the CEO of the company Larry Fink, but belong to millions of citizens (investors) of America, people from all over the world, and also American and foreign companies. Debunking the claim that BlackRock and Vanguard own the largest companies in the world, Reuters is quoting the spokespersons of both companies that although it seemed that they own significant shares in the largest global businesses, such shares were purchased with money belonging to their clients – and therefore the shareholders are their clients at the end of the day.
The clients of BlackRock and Vanguard invest in numerous investment products based on indexes and actively managed indexes such as S&P 500, Bloomberg Commodity Index, and FTSE 100 Index.
BlackRock itself is not a shareholder, a company spokesperson told Reuters, adding that the money being managed or invested ”belongs to our clients”. The owners of these securities are our clients, through their investments made on their behalf via the funds managed by BlackRock, added the spokesperson of the company.
This was also confirmed by professors of finance contacted by Reuters.
Concerning the claims that the Jews are behind globalization and that they multiply us with zero – this is plain anti-Semitism and a conspiracy theory, according to which the Jews are secretly governing the world to the detriment of all others.
“Zionist occupation government”, sometimes known as “Jewish occupation government” is an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory according to which the Jews are secretly controlling the governments of the Western countries. That is a modern variation of the century-long belief in an international Jewish conspiracy. According to those who believe it, a secret Zionist organization actively controls the international banks – and through them the governments also – to plot against the white, Christian, or Islamic interests.
The term is used by white-supremacist, white-nationalist, far-right, nativist or anti-Semitism groups in Europe and the United States, as well as by ultranationalists such as Pamyat in Russia and various far-right groups including the Libertarians, Christian Identity, and the Ku Klux Klan.
The term “Zionist” in “Zionist occupation government” should not be mixed up with Zionism as ideology, that is, the movement supporting a Jewish state in the land of Israel. Since conspiracy theory followers mainly name countries outside of that area, the use of “Zionist” in such a context is inappropriate because it aims to present the Jews as conspirators who aim at controlling the world.
From all of the above-noted, we can conclude that the post fact-checked is presenting false information and a conspiracy theory. Hence, the post is falsely claiming that the war in Ukraine was initiated by the collective West, linking that with the “Great Reset”, in which the Jews allegedly have a role to play. The post is just mixing apples and oranges and contains no facts and evidence that substantiate the claims specified therein. The fact is that Russia initiated the war in Ukraine and that Western countries are only supporting Ukraine in its fight to defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
