Mark Zuckerberg Was Not Arrested, He Wore an Ankle Bracelet Against Shark Attack
The media have already reported that the ankle bracelet that Zuckerberg wears on his ankle is a bracelet that should chase away the sharks from coming into contact with the director of Facebook while he is recreating in Hawaii. The electric bracelet he wears sends an electric current that sharks cannot tolerate, which means that they will be at a distance from whoever wears this bracelet
We are reviewing a Facebook post, which contains information that refers to the founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, and which is not true. He is said to have been arrested at Guantanamo Bay, a controversial prison in Cuba that the US administration is considering closing.
Mark Zuckerberg (Sugar Mountain) is the owner of Facebook. Photo from Guantanamo, a prison for those convicted of crimes against humanity. On the right leg, a bracelet with GPS, code tag arrested, reads the post we are reviewing.
As part of the post, two photos were published showing Zuckerberg in the water, in a diving suit. The second photo zooms in on his ankle and shows a bracelet. However, the media have already reported that this is a leg bracelet that should chase away sharks from coming into contact with the director of Facebook while he is recreating in Hawaii. The electric bracelet he wears sends electric current that sharks cannot tolerate, which means that they will be at a distance from whoever wears this bracelet.
Zuckerberg often runs away from the paparazzi, who find him on even the most intimate trips where he tries to relax away from the public eye, as is the case in Hawaii. These photos were taken at the end of May this year. Last July, photos appeared of him completely covered in sunscreen to prevent the paparazzi from recognizing him.
The bracelet that Zuckerberg wears in the photo is from the manufacturer SharkBanz and sells for 84 dollars. The description of the bracelet claims that it was designed for athletes, marine professionals, with patented magnetic technology developed by marine biologists to prevent attacks by shark species that attack humans while they are on the beach or while surfing.
SharkBanz technology has been verified by an independent think-tank at the prestigious Coastal Carolina University School. The bracelet does not use batteries and is always on, it is not charged, it has a universal size, i.e. it can be used by all adults over 5 years old, it is safe if you travel by plane, weighs about 100 grams and has a 1-year warranty.
Given all of the above, we deem as disinformation the claim that Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg was arrested at Guantanamo and was wearing a prison surveillance ankle bracelet.
