New Truthmeter Project: Election promises made to citizens in one spot

Апликацијата ги содржи новите предизборни ветувања кон граѓаните на победничките кандидати за градоначалници и нивните партии дадени пред локалните избори од 15 октомври 2017 година и тоа и преку нивните предизборни програми и преку јавните настапи. Таа ќе биде постојано ажурирана со нови ветувања, проверки на нивниот статус, текот и доследноста на спроведувањето, но и со оценки за нивната исполнетост, откако ќе бидат направени неопходните новинарски истражувања и анализи.

Do you want to have all-in-one access to more than 550 promises made by almost every mayor in Macedonia, to be able to search what has your mayor promised and to have the option to follow whether their promises are kept or not? Or, by performing a keyword search to discover all promises made in a particular area of public interest? Or, to be able to find out the priorities of mayors in various parts of the country quickly and simply?

All of this, and much more, is available thanks to Party Promises, mobile and web app developed by the newsroom of Truthmeter, accountability and transparency website, working within Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society, with the support of NED – National Endowment for Democracy.

The app has the new pre-election promises made to citizens by the winning mayor candidates and their parties before the local elections from 15 October 2017 in their pre-election programs and public appearances. It will be constantly updated with new promises, while their status, progress and consistency will be checked. After the necessary journalistic research and analyses, the promises will be assessed on the basis of the level of fulfillment.

Citizens and app users can address Truthmeter’s newsroom at any time via their website (https://vistinomer.mk), their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/vistinomer/) or Twitter profile (https://twitter.com/vistinomer) if they wish to have some promise, which is of particular interest or of local community’s interest, included, verified and assessed.
