Nikoloski: The Biggest Friend of This Country Is the United States

The Vice President of VMRO-DPMNE, Aleksandar Nikoloski in yesterday’s guest appearance on the show “Click Plus” on TV 21 expressed his position on the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, when Macedonia does not know what to do in foreign policy, then it should look at what the United States is doing, pointing out that the country should side with Ukraine and NATO, writes META.mk

Nikoloski said that a military conflict does not suit anyone, but also that no one expected in the 21st century to talk about a possible great war in Europe again. He hopes that diplomacy will be able to overcome this crisis.

“I see intense talks between the Western allies led by the United States and Russia. At the end of the day, I think that Macedonia should support the position of NATO and above all of the United States as a key partner of Macedonia,” said Aleksandar Nikoloski.

He added that Macedonia should follow the United States in foreign policy, and if it is not to the direct detriment of the country, and in this case, it certainly is not, it should support it.

“The biggest friend of this country is the United States,” Nikoloski said, adding that Macedonia should support Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

About 10 days ago, the Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska said that the country fully supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. She added that the Macedonian authorities are following the developments in and around Ukraine, but also commented that the deployment of Russian armed forces on the border with Ukraine is a provocative and destabilizing act.
