When someone reads the title of the post, they immediately think that the daughter of Russian President Putin met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. And that would not be unusual, if Ukraine has not been fighting against the military aggression of Putin, i.e. Russia, for months. However, when the article is read, it is immediately clear that Putin’s daughter has, in fact, met her boyfriend Igor Zelensky

We are reviewing a Facebook post that manipulates the public, stating that Putin’s daughter met with Zelensky. To dramatize the event, even more, the post emphasizes that “security found them at the hotel, and her father knew everything.”

When someone reads the title, they immediately think that the daughter of Russian President Putin met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. And that would not be unusual, if Ukraine has not been fighting against the military aggression of Putin, i.e. Russia, for months.

However, when the article is read, it is immediately clear that Putin’s daughter has, in fact, met her with Zelensky, and not Volodymyr,  but her boyfriend Igor Zelensky.

Leaked documents prove that Vladimir Putin knew about and financed the trips of his daughter Katerina Tikhonova and her boyfriend Igor Zelensky to several European cities, it is written at the beginning of the text.

Furthermore, the text itself clarifies that Katerina, after the breakup of her marriage with Russian billionaire Kirill Shamalov, began a relationship with ballet star Igor Zelensky, who is not related to the Ukrainian president, and that the couple has a daughter.

The post deliberately shares an article with a clickbait headline in order to manipulate the public and attract as many clicks as possible. Hence, it can be concluded that the post lacks context, i.e. clarification in the title and explanation, with which Zelensky actually did Putin’s daughter meet.
